Currently a vacancy exists of a Head Guide position within the Kruger National Park for Mafunyane Adventure 4×4 Trail based at Phalaborwa Gate.

Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Tertiary Qualification in aligned field (e.g Advance Certificate: Nature
- Conservation in Trans-frontier Conservation Management NQF level 6 or
- Natural Resource Management or Eco Tourism/ Travel and Tourism or
- equivalent, the National Diploma in Nature Conservation and
- Environmental Management will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of conducting guided walks as lead rifle in a big five area
- or in a supervisory function.
- THETA Nature Site Guide (Dangerous Game Area)
- TGD/NSGDGm/4/0037 NQF Level 4 certificate (must include View
- Potentially Dangerous Game Unit Standard)
- Valid First Aid Certificate level 3
- Valid DoT Registration (Site Guide: KNP & surrounding areas)
- Valid EC Driver License (Code 10)
- Valid Public Drivers Permit (PDP)
- SASSETA Unit Standards 123519, 119651 & 117705 Certification.
- Valid SAPS (South African Police Service) Firearm Competency
- certificate (or Proof of application as issued by the SAPS)
- Basic Financial Understanding and Computer Literacy
- Knowledge of relevant legislations
Responsibilities
- To manage and organise Mafunyane Adventure 4×4 trail activities for
- the smooth running and administration of the entire trail.
- To conduct Mafunyane Adventure 4×4 trail including guided walks and
- Drives at Phalaborwa gate and within the region.
- To plan and complete the necessary associated administration for
- Mafunyane Adventure 4×4 trail.
- To market Mafunyane Adventure 4×4 trail and other guided activities
- with the intention of improving the revenue and unit occupancy
- Present high quality of environmental interpretation to create
- environmental awareness and contribute to the building of a KNP
- Lead and manage all guides within area of jurisdiction to ensure
- compliance with laws/regulations when delegated.
- Providing of excellent service to all lodges and hotels outside
- Phalaborwa Gate and broad.
- During off peak seasons when Mafunyane 4×4 Trail isn’t booked, will
- be deployed to conduct Backpack Trails (Mphongolo, Lonely Bull and
- Olifants River Backpack Trails) and Guided Activities at Phalaborwa
- Gate and/or in any camp across Nxanatseni Region.
- To prepare all three camping sites and ensure that the sites are clean and ready for Mafunyane Adventure 4×4 trails activities for the period.

The remuneration package includes an all-inclusive cost to company salary,
